A Motif (theme) is given for each month. Read 1 book that fits the motif for that month. Check in and post monthly on the GoodReads group page.
Motif Themes:
- Jan- New To You ~ something new; new to you, new author, new book, new genre, new book series, etc.
- Feb- Girl Power ~ female authors, fierce female characters, feminism, female body positivity, females in science/government etc.
- March- Buzzed About Books ~ a book buzzed about a lot in 2021 but haven't read yet.
- April- Books to Screen ~ book that has been made into a movie or TV show
- May- Book Lovers Unite ~ book set in a library or bookstore, with a librarian, author, book loving character; or read a book with "book" in the title
- June- Supporting PRIDE ~ book by an author who is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or a book featuring a character
- July- Summer Lovin' - Having a Blast ~ beach reads, rom coms, or love story. Something fun and light-hearted
- Aug- Quick Lit ~ novella, graphic novel, poetry, etc. under 200 pages
- Sep- Title Play ~ clever title using a play on words, a pun, a joke, or titles that have a double meaning.
- Oct- Murder or Magic ~ murder mystery or magical realism book
- Nov- Books in Translation ~ any book that wasn't originally written in English, but has been translated to it
- Dec- The Fire Is So Delightful ~ book that has fire, flames, candles, smoke, or burning in the title or on the cover.
